Vegreville Composite High School
Peyten is hard working student in our school. She is part of our Cougar Council within our school. She also is an honour student that has been involved in several volunteer opportunities within the Vegreville Community.
She is part of the executive team at the local Rotary Club where they plan many activities to help individuals within this community and also in the global community. They fundraise and to help build a greenhouse for the people of VALID, an organization that helps people with mental disabilities. The greenhouse has given these individuals an opportunity to grow their own food and help more people in the community struggling to help make ends meet.
They have also gone to Belize to help fund and build a playground for school children there. This takes great commitment and dedication to not only pay for themselves to go, but also provide resources to give these children a much needed playground.
Peyten is also part of a mentorship program known as LANE where they help elementary aged students with numeracy and literacy skills.
Cougar Council is a school group that organizes and holds special events for school spirit in our school. Peyten has been part of this group since grade 7 and has loved every minute of her time making others feel welcome and excited about being part of our school community.
She is an all around great student and is very visible in any school event.
